Louisiana Independent School Association

The Louisiana Independent School Association, better known as L.I.S.A., was an independent governing body, that regulated the interscholastic athletic sports of private high schools in the state of Louisiana. Most of these academies were founded on segregation after the state of Louisiana public schools were desegregated. This organization lasted from 1970 until the end of the 1991-1992 school year.

The last event sponsored by L.I.S.A. was the All Star basketball game in the Summer of 1992.
