1970 Polls
- In 1970, the Associated Press or 'AP' discontinued their prep football polls. These polls turned out to be extremely popular. There was a large public backlash.
- So to fill the void, "The Times" a newspaper in Shreveport, enlisted sports writers from across the state to put out a poll for Class AAAA and Class AAA.
- They called it the "Eleven Top Elevens." It was week 6 before these polls came out.
