Everyone from Oak Grove knows the story of Mr. Neil Smith and the Drug Store on main street. The walls are covered with the history of Oak Grove athletics. Mr. Neil told me that most of the old pictures were from Mr. Bobby Barnett, who had saved them out the West Carroll Gazette. Dr. Mark Barnett has promised to get me copies of these photos, so I can post them. As he sends them, I will post them here.

• This was the first district game of the year for O.G. The backfield is QB-Nick Herlevic, WB-Rex Thomas, HB-David East, and FB-Mark Barnett. Oak Grove won 44-0.
  
• This game was played on September 26th, a Saturday Night, following the funeral of Principal Sam Gallen.
  
• Dr. Mark Barnett told me that he lost a fumble for the first and last time in his career in this game.
  
• Sterlington Head Coach Mike Collins, a former Oak Grove Tiger, said that he got his first carry as a running back in this game.
