In 1999 the LHSAA started using a seeding system for the playoffs. They use a power rating that is determined by the amount of victories a team has, the amount of victories their opponents have, and by how many times they play up in class. A schedule strength factor is used to break ties. The teams are seeded 1-32, with #1 playing #32 and #2 playing #31 and so on.
